Mid-Michigan Photography Club July 2023 Updates

August 2023 MMPC Meeting – Fenner Nature Center

The August MMPC meeting will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Fenner Nature Center, 2020 E Mt Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910. We will walk on both paved and unpaved trails. Meet on the steps to the Nature Center building.

MMPC Club Logo

The MMPC Board recently discussed the current logo and is open to ideas for an update. If you have any ideas regarding the logo, please contact an MMPC Board member or send your idea to mmpclansing@gmail.com.

MMPC Logo Clothing

MMPC clothing items are available to order. You can specify a hoodie as a pullover or zip-up or you can order a t-shirt. You can bring your order form to an MMPC meeting or you can send your order form to the address on the form. Delivery will be at a future MMPC meeting.

Big Cookie

Congratulations to the winners of the May Big Cookie (Boats): Glenn Dunn for people’s choice and Darryl Smith for judges’ choice. The judges were John Stine and Paul Bielawski. The theme for next big cookie is “PURPLE.” Members are encouraged to bring a digital image for the Big Cookie competition at the September 2023 meeting.

MMPC Monthly Photo Challenge

Thanks to all who have contributed to the MMPC Photo Challenge. The July theme is Water Movement. It is great to see the submissions on the Facebook page. If you do not use the Facebook group, send your entry by email to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can post it to the Facebook page. Discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. The current and upcoming monthly themes for the photo challenge are:

  • July 2023 – Water Movement
  • August 2023 – Flowers
