A photographer’s hour is available on Sunday February 23, 2020, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The use of tripods is allowed. The orchids are amazing. Field Trip to Meijer Gardens – Butterfly Exhibit

MMPC will sponsor a field trip to photograph the Meijer Garden Butterfly Exhibit on Saturday, March 14, 2020. We will meet in the parking lot at Michaels (the old Gander Mountain) on Marketplace near the Saginaw (M-43) exit on I-96 at 8:00 a.m. This is a popular exhibit and a real sign of spring. More information about the exhibit is available at https://www.meijergardens.org/calendar/butterflies-are-blooming/.

Discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. Upcoming themes for the photo challenge are:

  • January 2020 – Alphabet in Nature
  • February 2020 – Books – For those that are interested, we are challenging you to use a depth of field technique to emphasize part of the image.
