April MMPC Meeting – Turner Dodge House

Please join the Mid Michigan Photography Club at its April meeting. We will meet at the Turner Dodge House 100 E North St, Lansing, MI 48906 for a hands on session using objects in the house. Bring your camera, lighting, a tripod, and a macro lens if you have one. We will gather at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. All are welcome. Because the Turner Dodge House requests donations, MMPC is asking members to contribute $5, payable to Turner Dodge, for the cost of this meeting.

April Meeting

The April 2019 MMPC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Turner Dodge House, 100 E. North Street, Lansing. The Turner Dodge House features architecture and artifacts that are often photographed. Because the Turner Dodge House requests donations, MMPC is asking members to contribute $5, payable to Turner Dodge, for the cost of this meeting. Bring your camera and equipment. Big Cookie

Congratulations to the winners of the March Big Cookie: Joe Holley for people’s choice and Tammy VanderMolen won the judges choice. The judges were Scott Mulrooney, John Stine and Glenn Dunn. The theme for next big cookie is “FLOWERS.”

MMPC Photo Challenge

Thanks to all who have contributed to the MMPC Photo Challenge. The March 2019 theme is Bridges. A gallery of the photos is on the web site at http://mmphotoclub.net/monthly-challenge/. If you do not use the Facebook group, send your entry by email to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can post it to the Facebook page. Discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. Note that the rules for the reward drawing have changed. To encourage participation and to not penalize a member that was unable to post in a given month, each member that posts in a month will receive a ticket in the gift card drawing. A member that posts in all 12 months will have 12 tickets in the drawing. Upcoming themes for the photo challenge are:
