June 2024 MMPC Meeting

The May MMPC meeting will be held on Wednesday June 5, 2024, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Meridian Historical Village 5151 Marsh Rd, Okemos, MI 48864. This will be the annual scavenger hunt.

Big Cookie

Congratulations Rich Wyllis who is the winner of the May Big Cookie (Animals) for People’s Choice and for Judges’ Choice. The judges were John Stine, Peri Bianchi, and Molly Brown. The theme for next big cookie is “Carnivals, Festivals, and Fairs.” Members are encouraged to bring a digital image for the Big Cookie competition at the September 2024 meeting.

Art Gallery Call for Participation

Unity Spiritual Center, 2395 S. Washington is hosting an art gallery. Several members from the Unity Spiritual Center attended the MMPC Gallery Show reception. MMPC members are welcome to participate. Drop-off is Saturday morning May 25, 2024 The show begins June 1st and runs through the entire month of June.  Contact Greg Edwards at (517) 803-9547.

MMPC Logo Clothing

MMPC clothing items are available to order. You can specify a hoodie as a pullover or zip-up or you can order a t-shirt. You can bring your order form to an MMPC meeting or you can send your order form to the address on the form. Delivery will be at a future MMPC meeting.

MMPC Monthly Photo Challenge

Thanks to all who have contributed to the MMPC Photo Challenge. The May theme is Bicycles. It is great to see the submissions on the Facebook page. If you do not use the Facebook group, send your entry by email to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can post it to the Facebook page. Discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. The current and upcoming monthly themes for the photo challenge are:

• May 2024 – Bicycles
• June 2024 – Bridges (Leading Lines)
