May 2023 MMPC Meeting
The May MMPC meeting will be held on Wednesday May 3, 2023, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church 510 W. Ottawa St. Lansing, MI 49833. This will be a shooting event for Table Top Photography. Bring your camera, tripod, and interesting small things to photograph.

MMPC Club Logo
The MMPC Board recently discussed the current logo and is open to ideas for an update. If you have any ideas regarding the logo, please contact an MMPC Board member or send your idea to mmpclansing@gmail.com.
MMPC Field Trip to Kate Palmer Sanctuary – Trilliums
MMPC will sponsor a field trip to photograph the trillium wildflowers at the Kate Palmer Sanctuary near Jackson on Saturday, April 29, 2023. We will meet at the Park and Ride Lot at the Holt Road exit off of US 127 at 8:30 a.m. An event has been posted on the Facebook page.
Gallery Show
The annual MMPC Gallery Show is now at the Riverview Church – Holt Venue, 3585 E Willoughby Rd, Holt, M. There are 25 images in the show. The dates for the show are March 7, 2023 – May 23, 2023. The Take-Down will be Tuesday, May 23, 2023 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

MMPC clothing items are available to order. You can specify a hoodie as a pullover or zip-up or you can order a t-shirt. You can bring your order form to an MMPC meeting or you can send your order form to the address on the form. Delivery will be at a future MMPC meeting.
Big Cookie
Congratulations to the winners of the February Big Cookie (Shadows): Sunny Nayak for people’s choice and Paul Bielawski for judges’ choice. The judges were John Stine and Robert Killips. The theme for next big cookie is “BOAT(S).” Members are encouraged to bring a digital image for the Big Cookie competition at the May 2023 meeting.
MMPC Monthly Photo Challenge
Thanks to all who have contributed to the MMPC Photo Challenge. The April theme is Butterflies. It is great to see the submissions on the Facebook page. If you do not use the Facebook group, send your entry by email to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can post it to the Facebook page. Discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. The current and upcoming monthly themes for the photo challenge are:
