Mid-Michigan Photography Club October 2021 Updates

November MMPC Meeting – Shoot and Eat Event – Bring a dish to Photograph!

An in-person meeting of the Mid-Michigan Photography Club is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday November 3, 2021. This will be the second MMPC meeting since the Covid-19 pandemic to be held at First Presbyterian Church, 510 W. Ottawa St. Lansing, MI 49833. Please be aware that the church asks that all wear masks while in the facility, even if you are vaccinated.

To tie in to the Big Cookie theme of “Food” for December, we will hold a “shoot and eat” meeting for the November 2021 MMPC meeting. We are hoping that we get at least 5-6 food stations for club members to photograph. Feel free to bring a photogenic dish, if you can. We will be shooting before we eat, so don’t bring anything that needs to be eaten right away. We hope that those attending eat the food, and do not leave remains for us to dispose of. Bring your camera, tripod, and a constant light source, such as an LED. Tablecloths or backgrounds will also be helpful. There are a few sample photos from a similar event on the Facebook group. This will be fun!

December Meeting

The annual MMPC Holiday Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Main dishes including vegetables and salad will be provided. You may bring a desert to pass if you choose. Please respond no later than Saturday November 26, 2021 to the event on Facebook or to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can get a count of members planning to participate. A slideshow of MMPC members’ photos from the 2021 MMPC Photo Challenge will be running during the meeting. Big Cookie theme will be “Food.” We will meet at First Presbyterian Church, 510 W Ottawa St, Lansing, MI. Please join us.
