June 2023 MMPC Meeting – Scavenger Hunt
The June MMPC meeting will be held on Wednesday June 7, 2023, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. This will be a Scavenger Hunt. Meet at Rotary Park on the River Trail. There is parking under the Lansing Center. Note that the cost for parking in this lot is $2 per hour.

MMPC Club Logo
The MMPC Board recently discussed the current logo and is open to ideas for an update. If you have any ideas regarding the logo, please contact an MMPC Board member or send your idea to mmpclansing@gmail.com.
Delta Township Fireworks
Past President Paul Bielawski will lead a field trip for the Delta Township Fireworks on Monday July 3, 2023. Meet at the Delta Walking Trail near 1115 Maycroft. We will meet at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks will start after 10:00 p.m. This is north of Saginaw Highway, two blocks west of the light at Robbins. There is parking on Maycroft and we will be a block east of the fireworks at Sharp Park. We will walk to Sharp Park for the fireworks. Paul will discuss four techniques for images of fireworks.

MMPC clothing items are available to order. You can specify a hoodie as a pullover or zip-up or you can order a t-shirt. You can bring your order form to an MMPC meeting or you can send your order form to the address on the form. Delivery will be at a future MMPC meeting.
Big Cookie
Congratulations to the winners of the May Big Cookie (Boats): Glenn Dunn for people’s choice and Darryl Smith for judges’ choice. The judges were John Stine and Paul Bielawski. The theme for next big cookie is “PURPLE.” Members are encouraged to bring a digital image for the Big Cookie competition at the September 2023 meeting.
MMPC Monthly Photo Challenge
Thanks to all who have contributed to the MMPC Photo Challenge. The May theme is Red or Pink. It is great to see the submissions on the Facebook page. If you do not use the Facebook group, send your entry by email to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can post it to the Facebook page. Discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. The current and upcoming monthly themes for the photo challenge are:
- May 2023 – Red/Pink
- June 2023 – Aperture at f / 16
