May MMPC Meeting – May 6, 2026
The May MMPC meeting will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2026, 6:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church 510 W. Ottawa St, Lansing, MI. We will have a Big Cookie competition and a presentation by Glenn Dunn on Black and white photography.

Big Cookie
Congratulations to Sunny Nayak and Andrea Loomis for participating in the February 2026 Big Cookie friendly photo competition with the theme Still Life. The club will conduct the next Big Cookie friendly competitions in May 2026. The theme for the May 2026 Big Cookie is “Silhouette.” Members are encouraged to bring a (only one) digital image the Big Cookie competition at the May 2026 meeting.
Upcoming photo-friendly events for the upcoming months include:
- Trilliums at Kate Palmer Sanctuary in Jackson – Late April to Mid-May
- Peonies at Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor – late May to early June
- Michigan Challenge BalloonFest in Howell June 26-18
MMPC Logo Clothing
MMPC clothing items are available to order. You can specify a hoodie as a pullover or zip-up or you can order a t-shirt. You can bring your order form to an MMPC meeting or you can send your order form to the address on the form. Delivery will be at a future MMPC meeting.
A limited number of club emblem patches are available for $15 each. The patches are 3½ inches square, embroidered, three color patches on heavy white cloth. See Glenn Dunn if you are interested.
MMPC Monthly Photo Challenge
Thanks to all who have contributed to the MMPC Photo Challenge. The Aoril theme is Spring. It is great to see the submissions on the Facebook page. If you do not use the Facebook group, send your entry by email to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can post it to the Facebook page. Constructive discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. The current and upcoming monthly themes for the photo challenge are:
- April 2026 – Spring
- May 2026 – Musical Inspiration
