June MMPC Meeting – June 4, 2025
The June MMPC meeting will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2025, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Frances Park, 2701 Moores River Dr, Lansing, MI. The meeting will be the annual MMPC scavenger hunt. There are gardens and a river overlook in the park. We will meet near the shelter in front of the Rose Garden. In case of inclement weather, we will host an indoor program at First Presbyterian Church.

MMPC Gallery Show Take-Down Date Wednesday, May 28, 2025
As announced at the April MMPC meeting, the Take-Down for the 2025 Gallery Show is planned for Wednesday, May 28, 2025 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Big Cookie
Congratulations to Amy Pendell for participating in the December 2024 Big Cookie friendly photo competition with the theme Pets. The club will conduct TWO Big Cookie friendly competitions in September, which will be the next indoor MMPC meeting. The themes for the September Big Cookie are “Reflections” and “Sports.” Members are encouraged to bring a digital image either or both of the Big Cookie competitions at the September 2025 meeting.

Peonies at Matthaei Botanical Gardens, Ann Arbor Field Trip
The peonies at Matthaei Botanical Gardens (https://mbgna.umich.edu/) are a spring highlight. Club members will meet at the Okemos Park and Ride (enter on Woodlake Drive behind Cracker Barrell) at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 31, 2025. A Facebook event is available to show your interest.
MMPC Logo Clothing
MMPC clothing items are available to order. You can specify a hoodie as a pullover or zip-up or you can order a t-shirt. You can bring your order form to an MMPC meeting or you can send your order form to the address on the form. Delivery will be at a future MMPC meeting.
A limited number of club emblem patches are available for $15 each. The patches are 3½ inches square, embroidered, three color patches on heavy white cloth. See Glenn Dunn if you are interested.
MMPC Monthly Photo Challenge
Thanks to all who have contributed to the MMPC Photo Challenge. The April theme is Benches. It is great to see the submissions on the Facebook page. If you do not use the Facebook group, send your entry by email to mmpclansing@gmail.com so that we can post it to the Facebook page. Constructive discussion of the photos, beyond simply liking the picture, is encouraged. The current and upcoming monthly themes for the photo challenge are:
- May 2025 – Road Signs (Golden Hour)
- June 2025 – Street Art (Perspective)
